As an entrepreneur, Simon founded this vision to see a true integrated healthcare property fund established.
With over 20 years’ experience in the construction and development industry; with significant progression from carpenter to supervisor to project manager, to then being the founder and managing director of the Cornerstone Group. Simon has led the delivery of in excess a $500M worth of construction and development projects across Australia.
Simon’s key strengths are held in leadership; strategic planning and vision; strong drive to attain strategic goals; and his ability to engage and communicate openly with clients, partners and stakeholders to achieve their objectives.
Simon is passionate about partnerships with values based organisations whereby he and his team can align with like-minded people to provide greater outcomes that holistically transform their communities. This is greatly evidenced through his deep commitment to philanthropic giving and the birthing of the Interseed foundation.
Business Development Manager – Leasing and Sales
Bryce joined CHP with over a decade’s experience in relationship management across a variety of different industries.
Most recently in medical device sales at Stryker where he specialised in facial trauma and reconstruction. Bryce is passionate about facilitating better patient outcomes through connecting the right people together.
He brings a wealth of understanding, ideas, and a passion for healthcare to the table.
National Acquisitions and Investments Manager
Josh has accumulated a diverse cross-section of experience in over 22 years in the property development industry.
He has consulted across all aspects of residential land subdivision and master planned communities, medium and high-density residential development, mixed use projects comprising retail, commercial and residential elements.
He has held Senior and Executive Management roles, in some of QLD’s largest property development companies, and is also an accomplished Town Planning and Development Management professional.
He brings to the group a wealth of expertise in site selection, property acquisition, and project delivery - essential to any new development project.
B.Acc, CA ANZ, GAICD
Richard Jamieson has approximately 30 years of experience in the banking, funds management and property industries. He is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Nano Home Loans, having recently finished up as CFO for Vicinity Limited for over 4 years, a top 30 ASX retail property company.
Prior to that he held the CFO role at both BT Group and Westpac New Zealand. He has also worked across the funds management industry within Colonial First State Global Asset Management and Credit Suisse Asset Management.
Richard is a proven leader having led teams of over 600 people. He has worked through the merger of a number of listed ASX companies and been heavily involved in debt raising across Asia, Europe and the United States.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Accounting, is a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has completed the Advanced Management program at INSEAD.
Markus Koch is an experienced board member and chief executive with extensive experience in the medical capital equipment and services industry.
Markus served as CEO and Executive Chairman for the Daniels Group, as NonExecutive Director of ASX-listed SteriHealth, and CEO of Draeger Australia (the global market leader in anaesthesia devices and respiratory equipment).
Markus serves on a number of commercial and not for profit boards. Markus is the chairman of Cornerstone Construction.
Independent Director & Chairman
BEcon, Grad Dip Corp Fin, FAICD, FFINSIA
Rob has over 40 years’ experience in financial services, both internationally and within Australia. His most recent role was CEO of Credit Union Australia (CUA), Australia’s largest mutual owned financial services provider.
He served on the boards of all CUA’s subsidiaries, such as CUA Health, Credicorp Finance and CUA Management. Prior to CUA, Rob was the CEO and Director of Rural Finance, a Victorian Government owned agriculture bank which was sold to Bendigo Bank.
Earlier Rob spent 30 years with ANZ Banking Group, holding senior roles including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Risk Officer and General Manager of various areas such as Small and Medium Business, Regional and Small Business, Pacific and Personal Banking Asia.
Rob also has extensive experience as a Non-Executive Director, on boards and committees such as World Vision Australia, Cuscal, Places Victoria, the Business Council of Co-Operatives and Mutuals, Young Farmers Finance Council, and Cashrewards. He is currently undertaking the International Directors’ Program at INSEAD Fontainebleau France.
Chief Financial Officer
Stuart is the acting Chief Financial Officer of Cornerstone Healthcare Property Fund and is an accomplished senior executive with over three decades of financial reporting and management experience within the chartered accountancy, utilities, hospitality and property industries.
He was most recently the Regional Finance Director for Canada based NorthWest Healthcare Properties REIT (TSX:NWH) which also included being the CFO for Vital Healthcare Property Trust (NZX:VHP) for 11 years.
He was responsible for overseeing the financial and management reporting; treasury management; regulatory and tax compliance within both New Zealand and Australia.
The efficient implementation of these functions was supportive of the Trust’s operating performances in recent years – including equity raising, debt facility renewals, strategic acquisitions (~A$1.7bn of properties including the Healthscope portfolio), fund establishment, regulatory MIS licensing and delivering investor returns consistently outperforming key indices.
Nia is highly skilled in the area of growth strategy, digital marketing and innovation with 8 years of experience in the non-for-profit sector, digital start-up and fintech industry.
With a MBA background in Economics and Psychology, Nia has previously led and delivered successful end-to-end digital projects for Accenture, Coca-cola Amatil, Procter & Gamble and Volkswagen Group as a consultant. She has delivered digital transformation and marketing projects valued at more than $60mil AUD in 2020/2021.
Her marketing and growth strategy experience blends design thinking, data and financial analysis, and UX driven design to deliver innovative marketing strategies and creative business models.
She has a proven skillset for aligning business objectives with comprehensive knowledge to achieve maximum operational impacts via digital data and performance marketing analysis.
Project Director - Health
Journeying with Cornerstone team for almost 6 years, Dan brings experience in oncology, diagnostic imaging and nuclear imaging projects.
With a special interest in bespoke radiation oncology applications, he can provide a range of design, project management and niche consultant services.
Familiar with the latest treatment technologies, radiation regulations and private licensing parameters, Dan has also provided services for oncology projects in New Zealand and Asian regions.
Skills Dan brings to the team include attention to detail, technology acumen, stakeholder liaison and healthcare design management.
Luke joined the Cornerstone team in 2017 and has been instrumental in driving the growth and expansion of the development business.
He has over 10 years experience in the property development industry combined with previous experience in both Finance and Engineering.
He has led the project delivery of key assets across Australia with a focus on delivering high quality fully integrated health and medical facilities in an efficient manner.
Facilities and Property Manager
As a Facilities Manager, Oliver has over 11 years’ experience with integral knowledge over multiple sectors of facilities including project management, operations, finance, BMS software solutions and technical services.
Oliver believes that Facilities is not just about the building or asset, but more about the people who work there and he therefore strives to foster relationships with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure client retention through consistent services and improvement of site facilities and amenities.
Group Talent & Acquisitions Manager
Avril has over 9 years experience within the property industry, working both as a Certified Practising Valuer and more recently, as a Senior Consultant specialising within development and investment recruitment.
Avril has demonstrated experience across most property sectors and her more recent role saw her working with a varied client base, delivering strategic recruitment processes for institutional owners, not-for-profits, boutique property funds and private development firms.
With a consultative approach, Avril has joined Cornerstone to utilise her skillset to achieve value driven partnerships by fostering existing and future client relationships and achieving business growth through a people and culture focus.
Regina is an efficient and organised professional with 20 years’ experience in accounting. She is a key part of the finance team here at CHP.
Regina analyses and reports on the economic stability of different areas of the company and provides financial information to each department, enabling the teams to make budgeting and investment decisions.
As the company accountant Regina reports on costs, productivity, margins and company expenditures.
